Niranta is a luxury transit hotel or a temporary nest for travelers who need to make a stop at MIAL (Mumbai International Airport Limited). As Mumbai’s first Transit hotel, it offers travelers from across the globe a place to drop off, relax and bask in the comfort of Indian hospitality and luxury. The branding brief was to examine themes of transience and relaxation.
The ‘A’ logo set within the logotype for Niranta is derived from the Namaste gesture, signifying hospitality, dynamism, transit, and flight. Using elements from the logo itself, an octagon-inspired, rearrangeable motif was created. The essence of the brand remains, alongside an effort to make it a simple and comprehensible visual language that is as identifiable with or without words. The minimal visual system is created to offer graphic relief in a hotel that is otherwise heavily patterned with rich lattice work.
