Personal project to rebrand the whole county of Torfaen. It consists of three towns: Cwmbran, Pontypool, and Blaenavon. The main concept gives each town their own colour and this is applied through the Torfaen brand.
The 't' form is made from three equal segments representing each town. Blue is for the commercial epicentre, Cwmbran; the headquarters of the council and the geographical heart of Torfaen, Pontypool, is Gold; and Green represents the heritage site and vast countryside of Blaenavon.
The logotype is also made entirely from combinations of these three segments. This bespoke typeface reinforces the sense of a unique identity that all three towns can collectively call their own.

Environmental Design
The following screens show how the new identity (specifically the colour scheme) can be further applied in an experiential way throughout the town of Cwmbran to create a sense of belonging for all inhabitants.
Mobile App
I also redesigned the existing Torafen app, which allows users to conveniently contact the council regarding various issues or requests. The screens I have designed show the process of reporting something to the council.
Start Screen: user chooses to start the app in either English or Welsh.
Main Menu: a selection of the various tasks available. The lower gold menu bar allows users to access features of the Torfaen website for convenience.
Report Menu: user can select which option best describes the issue.
More Details: user supplies more details of the abandoned vehicle.
Supply Evidence: user can choose to supply evidence in photo or video format.
Taking Photo for Evidence: user selects to take a photo and their camera becomes operational. Once photo is taken it is automatically uploaded.
Location: a variety of options to help the council locate the car in question.
Specific Location: with the aid of Google Maps and GPS technology of the phone, user's current position is automatically pinned to the map.
Submission Confirmation: once the location and all other details have been confirmed, the user is greeted with this screen and redirected to the Main Menu. Because the user already supplies their email address before using the app for the first time, they receive regular updates to assure them the issue is being dealt with.
Website Design
The website for the council is now determined by what town you select at the town select screen. By clicking on one of the logo's segments the user will be taken to that town's website, with content only relating to that specific town. This way it emphasises how each town has it's own identity and makes the content feel more personal and interesting.
