LISPISH / Linguistic Guide

THE LISPISH LINGUISTIC GUIDE

An attempt to bring the act of lisping into the realm of normalcy, sanity and maturity. It is dedicated to anyone who has suffered judgment based only on how they speak. This publication’s purpose is to translate the background, definition and feelings toward sigmatisms, otherwise known as lisps, into their own language, Lispish. The vehicle for this solution is a new letterform and symbol that represents the sound made by "lispers".

The end product for this concept was a phrasebook of sorts; the booklet is written in both English and Lispish by way of mirrored text and imagery utilizing the Lispish symbol, the Lim. The mirrored pages are mostly the same, but have slight differences, just as everyone's voice or way of speaking.
