Create a conceptually driven book series using titles within the Penguin Classics brand.

 

SOLUTION

In a world where people are pressured to fit in, stories about misfits are breaths of fresh air. I decided to create a series that celebrates characters that refuse to conform to the identities that society attempts to thrust upon them. The series includes Don Quixote, the sane madman, Madame Bovary, the iconoclastic rebel, Stephen Dedalus, the inquisitive wanderer, and Sherlock Holmes, the high-functioning sociopath. 

 

Each character is known for questioning the world around them in a quest to find out who they really are. The covers give a glimpse into each “misfit mind,” using illustrations of iconic symbols to represent each one.
