Countdown for the Annual Design Fest at MITID
Making a Propeller LED Display
As a part of installations team of our annual fest, we made a countdown installation. In our design we used a Propeller LED display and mounted it on the rear wheel axis of a bicycle. This design can be used to project numerical, textual and visual graphics.
This propeller display is based on POV (Persistence of vision). A blade made out of aluminum sheet worked as the housing for rest of the components. A microcontroller (Arduino UNO), mounted on the blade controls the display. A coding program was created to generate text or numeric values on the display. The same program could also generate patterns. Power supply to the rotating blade was given through two fixed spring steel sheets that touch a rotating shaft connected to the axis of the motor.

Lighting for Frugal Rattler

Lighting up the Minimalistic Devil

Frugal Rattler motorcycle by Abid Shaikh is for urban commuter(s) who travel daily for a short distance. The bike got a lot of appreciations and was also a part of India bike week 2016. My contribution is limited to lighting here.I designed a manual lighting system for the bike that includes headlamp, tail lamp and indicators. All these can function individually.
