pickQuan - App Design

PickQuan is a speculative design of web intervention.

Our speculative scenario description:
In 2066, PickQuan is a company that gives a new option to personalized online shopping as a response to people’s fatigue of having too many choices to shop from. PickQuan is a platform that grew from the rapid development of the Internet of Things, which refers to the network of physical objects such as devices, vehicles, building and other items embedded with software, sensors, network connectivity and electronics, which allows these objects to collect and exchange data. As a marketing strategy, the company relies on the concept that technology helps us be more human by being more connected to our environment and evolving as a whole.

In collaboration with scientists, this corporation created quantum organic nanochips (QON) that are inserted under the skin, in the dermis. These implants are inserted voluntarily to be able to use an online-based platform. These nanochips are sensors and processors that collect data based on chemical reactions of emotions, likes and dislikes. For the purpose of this project we would use the concept of the Internet of Things for clothing items through an RFID (Radio-frequency identifier) which uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and track tags on objects; the tags contain electronically stored information.
The QON is constantly analyzing new data received so that a person does not have to choose among a massive number of alternatives that stores offer because so many brands and stores display the same kind of products and it gets overwhelming.
This personalized platform organizes all information based on date(history) of the data collected by the nanochip via “Big Data” analysis in real time. This platform syncs automatically with the user’s personal devices such as mobile technologies.

It also saves all history by date so the person can retrieve any information that was previously sent via the nanochip at any time. The platform offers a notification feature which allows the user to receive an alert when there is a product around that him or her likes or would like. To add, the notification aspect would be completely customizable. Once the QON senses that the person likes an item, it sends a notification to the user asking “would you like to try this?”, if the user chooses to try on the item, the sales associate would receive a notification, and would prepare all items the user wants to try on (the user’s clothing size would be customizable in the app settings). Then the user goes to the fitting room, where they can try on the items, then check out to pay on the spot in the fitting room (in front of the sales associate) through the app in order to avoid theft. The brands give rebates to the people using this technology; this is another marketing strategy.

Note: We use the four colors of PickQuan’s color palette but with opacity. The colors of the app change each time the app is refreshed.

Slogan
"empowered by your senses "

Wireframes
Marketing Campaign: Phase 1
PickQuan would be using Predatory Marketing using the element of surprise. With every advertisement, the corporation would be revealing more and more about PickQuan. This gif poster would be the first marketing campaign revealing only the colors.
Marketing Campaign: Phase 2
The poster series consists of four different images, which have the colors of the color palette of PickQuan. These posters show the slogan, “empowered by your senses” without the logo. These posters would be the second marketing campaign that comes after the first gif poster advertisement.
Marketing Campaign: Phase 3
This gif poster would be the third marketing campaign, which reveals the name of the corporation/mobile app
