rimless lightweight construction, creating a truly unique piece of eyewear with uncompromised fit and comfort.
Lightweight Construction
For optimal fit and comfort, Tailend™ is designed with a unique rimless construction, unveiling a minimalist
approach to the lens retention and styling. The overall construction and styling was inspired by the
bending of sheet metal, in the creation of shapes, using the least amount of material.
Art + Science
Conceived from a generation of process driven design, the experimentation in materials, study in proportions,
surfacing, and details were all a rigorous exploration in the curating of the refined and final design of Tailend™ .
New Process
A new laser edging process was adapted to add a layer of sophistication to Tailend™ lenses.
Tail-series lenses are iridium coated and laser-edged around the perimeter to create faux rim lines.
Multiple Lens Shapes
Tailend™ is a member of Tail-series including, Tailback™, Tailspin™ and Tailhook™, adding to and
completing the family of products. This unique frame and stem architecture is offered through four
distinctively different lens shapes for different characteristics and preferred styles.
Modern Rebel
From sophisticated interpretation of twisting sheet metal, to special laser-edging around the perimeter,
Tailend™ is a modern interpretation of the bold and rebellious spirit of Oakley.
