Penguin Random House UK, Design Children’s cover Award 2016. The Brief invited us to design a book cover for Emil and The Detectives by Erich Kästner. They asked us to bring this classic to a new generation of readers. I wanted represent this feeling of innocence, adventure  and the character sense of wonder . Placing Berlin as a main character in this design not as a simple background view. I used pencil, markers and watercolor to created the illustrations. I created a hand lettering type style  simple and playful to balance the detailed illustrations, using crayons and oil pastel to trace the letters. I got inspired by Oliver Jeffers design books.
