Panopticon [ Private life as a product ]
The Panopticon project Panopticon is the Final Project that I carried out at Kunsthal Design School, Spain [2012].
My goal was to create a satiric critique about today's society and the way we all share our personal data.
It is contextualized in a society where massive and uncontrolled use of new technologies threatens the intimacy of every individual.
The Panopticon project [pan: all, opticon: watch] has its foundation in the need to communicate the importance of the right to preserve the privacy of each person, our data and personal information. A credit card, a cell phone or a social network reach functionalities far beyond the main use they were created for.
