Визуальная антропология Молдовы это попытка осмыслить регион через художественные объекты общественных пространств. Визуальные символы – один из инструментов исследования исторических, географических, культурных и социальных кодов территории, находящейся на границе русского и европейского мира. Историческая эпоха, политический строй, культурные и религиозные традиции, общественные настроения – всё это так или иначе находит отражение в художественных образах и формирует идентичность, созданную творцами – от неизвестных народных умельцев до конвеерного соцреализма.
