This is a remix I created for Toro Y Moi's Still Soundremix competition in conjunction with Carpark Records. I wanted to reveal parts of the track that may not be so apparent in the original mix. Considerable emphasis was placed on rearranging melodic figures—especially those stated by the keyboard instruments and bass guitar—for the purpose of crafting new perspectives on the given groove. Keyboard and vocal sounds were processed to create textural beds that act like a kind of glue for the mix. Apart from the drums, all sounds in the remix are derived directly from sounds in the original source mix, albeit significantly manipulated in many cases.
