Collaborative project in Germany with Trapped in Suburbia
This was part of a one week project in Augsburg with the dutch based company 'Trapped in Suburbia'. The brief was to create an experience out of making a new tradition.
The essence for my tradition was the word connections.
The brand name is called ‘Coalescence’ as my tradition unites people and encourages people to work collaboratively.
I decided to focus on art as my theme as it is a subject that people can relate and form opinions about. I therefore created a drawing game where two people would stand both sides of acrylic perspex and connect both of their whiteboard red pens together and draw a given picture in synchronisation in silence. The game needs cooperation, team work and hand/eye coordination for both members to complete the picture.
My concept is based on the chinese proverb as seen below and suggests that humans have always been connected even before they were born. Strangers will then be destined to meet one another in a certain situation to help each other or solve a problem.
