Three Typographically-focused posters promoting the three months of the Saturday Sessions at the Ministry of Sound club in London.
When carrying out research into this project I discovered that founder Justin Berkmann stated “My concept for Ministry was purely this: 100% sound first, lights second, design third (in that order); the reverse of everyone else’s idea.” This was the basis for my idea and focusing the posters on the sound as the nightclub does. I looked into the science of how sound is created through vibrations, creating a form of longitudinal wave. I used these waves and colour in a typographical way which enforced the immensity of the sound and music at the club.
