Designing with Trash

Designing with Trash
Freshman Year Studio
Using recyclabe or usually unusable materials, or in other words, trash, I designed a system of modules and developed a form creating space and movement. The first iteration used permeable garden hose, creating a module out of a piece cut and folded over itself, then connected to create a surface. The next iteration was a group project that produced an installation 8 ft x4 ft x10 ft to create spaces and movement that were life-size. A person could physically inhabit this space and experience it. This module was made of orange construction fence cut into strips, and interlocked into itself.
