Flotsam - Building Designs

These are my building designs for Flotsam, a survival building simulator set in a flooded world.

First up is the Fisherman's hut.
I loosely based this building on a fish, but I didn't want it to be too obvious. It should still remain somewhat functional.
I want the player to notice instantly when the building has fish stored, so I decided to have the fish stick out of the front window. This really enhances the silhouette and readability.
The fisherman drops off the fish in the back door with his boat, followed by the fish coming out the front window hanging on sticks. These same sticks will be carried by the villagers when they bring them to the restaurant building.
Speaking of the restaurant, this is the building I designed afterwards! As there are a lot of different animals to be caught in Flotsam I thought it would be nice to have some different building visuals for each foodtype or recipe they would serve. Because of this food trucks and food truck festivals instantly came to mind.
I can differentiate them by using different colors, billboards and other tiny props, while still maintaining the underlying truck parts. This won't take that much modeling time and adds a lot of flavour to your town, just like a real life food truck festival.
In line with food trucks festivals, the villagers can ty floating picnic tables around each food truck for a place to eat, while they are dipping their feet in the water.

An added bonus is that it would now be possible to have mobile food trucks if we ever decide to put that in the game!
These are some flooded buildings for the surrounding environment in Flotsam. I based these on european architecture. Most of the city buildings will have mussels and barnacles growing on top of them. These can be gathered by villagers.
