Some time ago it occurred to me that a time lapse motion control system would be a great new tool to take into the field and really bring that extra something to my landscape images.

But after a thorough research on available models and respective prices, I began to wonder how difficult it would be to actually build one. Since my knowledge on creating complicated robotic systems is rather limited I decided to talk to a friend of mine who studies Mechanical Engineering.

Fortunately for me, he found it not only possible but also an incredible challenge and started designing the system. After months of working on it, we set out to one of the most popular places in Lisbon to show off our brand new and nearly finished machine and make this first test:
