Aim the study was to design a cultural-recreationalcomplex in Szczecin. Analysis of the existing waterfront and recreationalpublic spaces from around the world helped establish the concept of projectplanning as an area combining functions of a small harbour, cultural centre, aswell as water recreational centre involving at the same time the wholecoastline. Studies helped to formulate the concept, which were implemented inurban design. General design guidelines have been transported into the issue indeveloped and adapted to the guidelines resulting from the analysis of urbanarea.
