台灣創意設計中心成立於2003年，並於2004年開始營運，定位為台灣創業發展整合服務平台，其主要任務為提升設計人才原創能力、促進國際交流、加強產業市場競爭力。新一代設計展自1982年開辦以來，規模從幾個工業設計系所的聯合畢展，逐漸擴大成為全球規模最大的單一學生設計展。34年來，台灣的設計教育不斷茁壯，養成了對生活周遭充滿觀察力及創造力的新銳設計師。
Taiwan Design Center (TDC) was established in 2003 by the Taiwanese government to promote homegrown design and international exchanges, and to strengthen market competitiveness in the creative industries. Established in 1982, the Young Designers' Exhibition has grown to become one of the most prominent design fairs in the world, featuring fresh design talent and many works of excellence by graduates from design colleges around the world.
主視覺設計概念以「交流」、「擴散」作為基礎概念。透過文字的堆疊交錯，傳達每年匯聚國內外設計新秀相互切磋與激盪產生的創意火花，文字邊緣發散的紅色粒子，強化熱能量擴散的躍動感，如同每一位參展的新銳設計師們，以最精銳的創新與創意，在新一代設計展的舞台上，持續擴散他們對設計澎湃的熱情與活力！
The design concept is based on Communication and Diffusion. Through the stacking and crisscrossing wording, it conveys the spark & creative ideas that the emerging designers at home and abroad learn from each other, brainstorm and stir to come out. The red particles dispersed from the margins of each word strengthen the dynamism of heat diffusion. Just like every new designer participating in the most elite of innovation and creativity, they will continue to pass on their enthusiasm and energy toward design on YODEX stage.
