In the mid 90's I did an acrylic painting called "El Mariachi." I was inspired by the live melodies that came from the several Mariachi bands that played at the East Los Angeles establishment called, El Mercadito (the little market).
A few year after painting "El Mariachi" I tried my luck at selling my works. I gave a few of my paiting to a man and made a verbal agreement that he would sell my painting and charge me a commission. Unfortuntely for me, I never saw this man again, and the only memory I have now of the actual painting is an old digital photograph that was taken from a Sony Mavica Digital Camera, the type that stored the digital image file on an old 2.5 diskette.
Thank goodness to the Adobe Products, some of my art professors, I am now recreating my old painting into a clean vector drawing on Illustrator.
This is my work, "El Mariachi."
