This promotional poster is designed for the graduation exhibition of Dawson College graphic design program. The concept I used is “Discover”, because the experience of attending the exhibition of Dawson GD is like a discovery of the unknown.
At the same time, I used the idea of playful interaction with the viewers: At the close distance, the legibility of the word “discover” is very low and the multitude of lines easily picks up the viewers’ curiosity. At a greater distance from the poster, the word become more obvious, therefore it is as if the audience “discovered” the word “discover”. About the folded corner containing all information about the event, I used a fake 3D paper fold to illustrated that the information’s were hidden and by lifting the corner we discover the information just like looking under a carpet.
