In september of 2015 Afisha Magazine commissioned us to design travel guide to the city of Bruges, Belgium. The guide was published as an addition to the annual Rambler & CO conference. Within a timeframe of a month we designed vivid visual concept, transparent user experience and launched stable version of the website. Initially, we wanted to come up with not only useful guide, but also illustrate unique features of the city. As a reference to visual solution we took the city skyline with famous crow-step gable houses and Bruges coat of arms. The guide is divided into five categories and by scrolling to the end of the page, all the silhouettes combine into complete cultural landscape. While designing user experience, we decided to reduce the textual information of the guide to several key facts. All the crucial information is available in two or three actions.
