Shibori is a traditonal Japanese tie and dye technique. Shibori Rati is my expressions in Indigo.

This was a week's workshop at Srishti Institute of Art, Design & Technnology. We used four techniques, namely Kumo, Nui, Arashi & Itajime each one of them being quite unique from the other. I have been inspired by Stefan Brenner's aerial photograph of the Vatnajökull glacier. I have attempted to depict a melting glacial river by adding multiple layers.
