EXO - Festival Fashion Magazine

EXO - A CONCEPTUAL MAGAZINE FOR FESTIVAL FASHION
This magazine was created in an advanced graphic design course at San Francisco State University. This magazine highlights the radical self expression and creative out of the box fashion seen at transformative festivals today. As a festival community member I was inspired by the costumes and photographers who captured these special moments and wrote the headlining story titles "The Meaning Behind Radical Self Expression." I did not take any photography in this magazine, the photographers are Galen Oakes, Tristan Dunford, Zipporah Lomax, Jamie Rosenberg, Juliana Bernstein, Andrew Jorgensen, Keenan Reilly, and Aly Weisman.

DESIGN PROCESS
Starting off with a logo I chose EXO for the symbolic meaning of "what surrounds us." Since, this magazine is about tranformation festivals, I wanted to be experimental with the typography in a way that matched the style of these festivals. Emphasising the amazing photography that comes out of these events, I wanted the design to showcase the beautifully creative attendees.

Thank you for checking out this project!
