Common misconceptions about abortion risks:
Abortions are generally very safe and most women won't experience any problems. But like any medical treatment, there is a small risk that something could go wrong. The risk of complications increases the later in pregnancy an abortion is carried out. Common myths about the risks and sequelae of abortion include medical inaccuracies about health risks, depression, infertility and breast cancer.
The purpose of this study was to provide medically accurate information about abortion risks. The graphic system was created based on a well-researched study with a twist of playfulness in its colors and illustrations.
