The competition brief, set by book publishing company Puffin Books of Penguin Random House UK was to redesign a book from they're repertoire. I chose the children's book, Emil and the Detectives. 

 

I took inspiration from the prominant components from the book's storyline; the hat represents the antagonist as the older, sophistcated "Mr Bowler Hat" and the figures represent the protagonists, the detectives on a mission to retrieve the stolen money from inside the hat.
