This is a follow up for the previous project, available reference link is https://www.behance.net/gallery/34141823/Baba-Ngeri-A-Baba-Nyonya-card-game. For the card game, the deck design alone is not enough for the whole package of the concept. Therefore, a box is created for its storage and a rulebook for instructions and guides.
The card is designed based on two colors, turquoise and pink. These colors are to go along with the default poker card colors, black and red againts turquoise and pink. Furthermore, these colors are the representative color mood for the Baba Nyonya's housewares and collective items.
The rule book is designed with an unique interactive gimmick wooden door cover as it is used back in the days in Melacca, Penang, and Singapore.
This project is a whole lot of brand new exciting adventures for me and I am certainly super proud of it. "Baba Ngeri" is a personal project of mine for a school subject that includes various of graphic design directions and challenges which are, problem solving conceptual difficulties, brand identity, digital concept art, exhibition design, cultural research and packaging.
