Concept & Objectives:
5 SENSES TAI O is an interactive game that explores the rural culture of Tai O through the five senses. This game creates a brand new experience for young adult to reconnect with this very unique local history and culture in Hong Kong. For this game, it also could be part of education programme for letting the student absorb history of Tai O easily.

Where is the concept from?
Concept comes from a women, who had written a book《但願人長久》included a whole life story of nine Tai O residents. Although she was not born in Tai O, she has contributed in a small village 32years. She is the founder of Tai O cultural workshop, Wong Wai King.

Unfortunately, Wong Wai King is getting old now, her physical strength is worse than before. Moreover, her workshop will be closed on 14th June 2016, since she could not find the right sponsor and supporter. Also, the aging population of Tai O is in extremely serious, there are 2,400 people living on there and elderly constituted 70%, Therefore, Tai O history and uniqueness culture might lose.

Why need the game?
In the past decade, the local culture and awareness is fading out, the landmark of each distinct was destroyed. The day who committed Hong Kong will not be changed 50years, however, we have already lost the unique colonial connotations. We have to protect our beautiful home for showing tot the next generation.

目的:

五感大澳是一場另類而獨特的本土文化體驗遊戲,五感為基礎,推動首個文化使用者體驗遊戲。以第一身感受,體驗小漁村的穿梭現在與過去,不再單純吃喝及旅遊,驅動參與者的各種感觀,視、聽、觸、嚐及嗅。感受當中的變遷,遊走大澳之餘同時了解小漁村的形成。除了具有歷史教育意義外,同時引起公眾對大澳有更深層次的認識。

概念從何而來?

概念起源了一個她寫的一本書《但願人長久》羅列九位大澳居民的一生,雖不生於斯,但長於斯。無條件為小小漁村貢獻半生,還口述歷史。她就是大澳文化工作室的創辦人-琼姨。

可惜琼姨年華逐漸老去,體力不勝從前,工作室將於本年的六月十四日關閉,只因找不到合適的贊助人及支持者。而且大澳人口老化極其嚴重,現時只有二千四百人居住,長者更佔當中的七成*,大澳歷史文化卻可能因此而失去

為什麼需要它?
我們生於斯,長於斯。近十年的本土文化及意識已退色,地區歷史性的標記都要被遷拆了,當日承諾五十年不變,路只有走了十八年,已失去獨有的殖民地色彩,無論理性或是感性的我們,都該開始反思,自己的家自己救,保護這個家,讓下一代再下一代都能夠見證著這美麗的家。
