Katie & Meazi's New Years in Nashville

The past 2 years I’ve hosted my own New Years Eve party at my house with my closest friends. Festivities included junk food, board games, and watching Ryan Seacrest count down till the New Year. And although it’s been fun in the past, I wanted something new this year for New Years.

I thought and thought all of Christmas break, trying to figure out how to make this New Years Eve like none other. Then, just a few days before, I texted some friends from back at college out of curiosity to see what they were doing for New Years!

Long story short, Katie and Meazi (two of my close friends from Lee University and fellow members of Campus Choir) drove up from Chattanooga to Nashville to spend New Years with me!

After walking all throughout Nashville, listening to a few live bands, wading through 150,000 drunks, getting mistaken as Jordan Smith (fellow Lee University student and winner of “The Voice”), and stand still traffic, we had a BLAST ringing in the New Year together!

We then drove to my home 40 minutes away in little ole White Bluff, TN for a good nights rest.

Mama woke us up on Saturday morning to the smell of pancakes, bacon, sausage, and biscuits. We ate her delicious meal, got ready as quickly as we could (except for Katie) and headed back towards Nashville for a New Years Day Photoshoot! They’d been begging me to take photos of them again, so needless to say, they were pretty excited to have some new profile pictures and I was excited to get some practice and explore my favorite city, Nashville.

I don’t remember much from the photoshoot honestly. We planned to take photos at the Parthenon, Printers Ally, and on the Pedestrian Bridge, but all I feel like we did was walk. After getting lost for what seemed like forever because we followed Katie’s directions to the car, having lots of fun exploring Nashville, and not moving from my seat when I got home, the photos and memories from my very first shoot of 2016 came out pretty good!

Thankful to have friends who love being in front of the camera and aren’t too humble to admit it lol I hope you enjoy the photos I took.
