Public Coziness | experimental textile

Fabric protects: from the cold, the water, the sight of others. Fabric hides the construction.

Why is there no carpet on the road? However, there's asphalt to protect it.
Or why don't curtains replace the fences in between the houses? However, vines often replace their role.
Why do benches not have any blankets? However, wood is often used to make them warmer.

We have blankets on the sofas in our homes, why don't we have blankets on the benches in our streets?
Are they really redundant? May be we need to change our way of thinking about what is close to us?
What is inside our comfort zone and what exceeds it?

May public places become living rooms for all of us where we will sit and relax?
