Good old Italian espresso – new style

One of the objectives of the design is reducing unnecessary to make objects clear and useful.

Looking at the classic espresso cup, according to the Italian rules, it is obliged to repeat the shape of eggs inside, for saving delicious espresso foam. But outside espresso cup looks like smaller version of usual mug.

What if we don't need espresso cups which look like mugs for long drinks?

Because espresso is really short drink, and it means that cup for espresso has another functionality. What if we will repeat inner egg's shape on the outside? Thus, we will get one more advantage – you can't put this cup on table or bar if it's not empty. And you have to drink your espresso as fast as means its name. The buyer gets the coffee in a “public” holder on the bar, drinks it and returns empty cup on the holder. Simple and aesthetic dark wood holder highlights white porcelain and refers to the color of coffee.
