I have created this book within the Experimental Formats' module in my second year at University. The format of the book reflects the thoughts and feelings of the chosen text displayed within it.
'Funeral Blues', a well known poem by Wystan Hugh Auden, was my chosen piece of text. My final book design shows the feelings and emotions within the poem. The thoughts of losing someone so close to you, and how the loss can feel like, 'when they left, it left a hole'.
The final book was created with french-folded pages, using a japanese saddle stitch to bind together.
