WHAT'S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT? — Imprint Projects — 2016

At Imprint Projects, we think a lot about our work…and love, and what it means to love one’s work. We have the pleasure of working between commerce and culture, with brands and artists, with friends and lovers. We mix profession and principles, creative passion, romantic love, and obsessive co-dependence. This makes it fun, but also complicated.

Imprint Projects was officially registered as a business on February 14, 2011—Valentine’s day is our birthday. To celebrate our fifth birthday, we invited ten of our favorite artists and designers to go on a “blind date”—to collaborate on a project without ever meeting before. The prompt for each couple was: What’s love got to do with it? If things worked out, we hoped the relationship would birth a poster.

We are proud to report that the world now has five new posters. Each collaborative design has been executed as a16x24", three-color silkscreen, in numbered editions of 100. Each couple selected a not-profit to receive a portion of the proceeds from their poster's sale.
