The logotype is a representation of the Louvre; the way that "Louvre" is written in brush strokes, is supposed to symbolize the art inside of the museum, and the lines underneath are taken from the infrastructure of the glass pyramid. This way, the logotype represents the art captured inside of the pyramid.
