"A Million First Dates" Editorial Spread

Student project / The Pennsylvania College of Technology: mockup of an editorial spread for the fictional article,
"A Million First Dates: How Online Romance is Threatening Monogamy"

I wanted to create a spread that could possibly appear in a high-end art and culture magazine that would encompass the commercial aspects of the internet, specifically in the eighties, and the destruction of cultural aspects it has brought.

I juxtaposed digital speech bubbles over duo-tone classical art from the Rococo period, a time in which idealized scenes were created in art with deeper and more questionable intent embedded therein. The paintings appear to be melting off of the print pages, a form of communication that is constantly accused of becoming obsolete due to technological advances.
Thank you so much for viewing!
