I’m completely fascinated by dragon mythology.  Many mythological dragons and monsters are described as a single entity cobbled together with parts of different animals, and for this project I wanted to use existing animals to create my own dragon.  He has the snout of a crocodile, the scales of a snake, the crest of a harpy eagle, the wings of a bat, and the ears, eyes, and tail of a wildcat.  To create him, I used book pages from mythology texts and wildlife field guides to represent the combination of real animals and mythology in dragon lore.
