My book features a blending of old and new, in style and in function. The hard cover illustration uses both a traditional style of illustration and a more formal computer based illustration, the latter of which is used in conjunction with my slip case. The colour is set to match the colour of the acrylic and thus disappear beneath it, commenting on the theme of temptation that plays a pivitol role in both the Odyssey and the Iliad. The book is hand coptic stitched with a thread that matches the colour theme running through the book. With the spine exposed, spine art is added to the slip case. The larger format of the book makes allowance for illustrations and in conjunction with a more story based typesetting, provides a more relaxed reading experience.
