I was asked to make two illustrations every month for the American Banker Magazine. Obviously they all have to do with banking, one way or another. Here's a selection.
banking + online shopping.
Walmart Pay. Summary: Walmart has created its own mobile wallet, and speculation is that this will set off a wave of such initiatives from individual banks and retailers.

banking + having options.
Summary: Univest Bank had invested plenty of time and resources to build a quality suite of small business service offerings, but could not gain ground against alternative lenders and other nonbank specialty players. The $3.2 billion Souderton, Penn., bank realized that its delivery model was the problem. So, it got creative and established a Netflix-like approach to small business banking.  Univest formed tiered pricing options – all subscription-based – that bundled various services demanded by small businesses.
banking + facial recognition.
Summary: Banks embrace biometrics, but will customers? Voice and facial recognition are starting to get traction with customers at some banks, but analysts say mass adoption of biometrics technology is still years off.

I'm particularly happy with this one, because with a subject like this it's hard not to draw people. But once again I could rely on my man with the plan, who came up with (SPOILER ALERT...) the idea of the well known face/vase-illusion, which -in a way- is also about face-recognition but less obvious.
