"Do I live in a safe area?" is the question most people ask when they move to a new place. This was what I asked when I moved to Via Ridolfi in Florence, Italy for the semester. This questioning led to an observation-based project where I recorded which locks made me feel safe and which made me feel unsure. I used my apartment as the "home base" for the poster's point of view.
