D&AD - Ministry of Sound Saturday Sessions

Ministry of Sound Saturday Sessions
D&AD Student Awards 2012 Submission
These posters were created as my submission for the D&AD Student Awards 2012. I chose to answer the brief set by Studio Output, which was to design a set of 3, A2 typographic posters for the Ministry of Sound which will span three months, one for each. The posters needed to capture the personality and flavour of the club, with a concept running throughout the series. With this in mind, I focused on the fact that the club is a sensory experience for attendees, using typography to portray a digital music lover's senses of sight, sound, and taste, being bombarded with the line-up for that particular month.

Collages created in Photoshop, were placed into After Effects and used as layer masks for Trapcode Form, creating the contoured, semi-abstract grid of coloured particles in each example. The result is, bright, colourful, and energetic computer generated compositions that aim to communicate the digital, adrenaline fueled nature of the music championed by the club.
