This project is a marketing campaign for a made-up street art festival, made for our Graphic Design Studio class at Escola Superior de Desenho Industrial (Rio de Janeiro, BR).
We based our festival in a real one that happens in India, and celebrates indian street art as well as international. Our goal was to bring this Indian festival to Rio de Janeiro, focusing on the indian culture.
We created three posters to advertise the festival around the city. The elements in the posters were all taken from indian culture, and strong colors were chosen for the background because of how present they are in street art.
We also created an ad that was meant to be displayed in buses and subways (in Rio there are little tvs in all the buses and subways). We chose to do this type of media to reach bigger audiences, since those are highly used means of transportation in the city.
Stencils part of the guerrilla marketing
A large part of our marketing would be done via Guerrilla Marketing. We wanted to put projections all over town, integrating the marketing with the city itself. We felt that that integration was extremely important, because the city is the street artist's canvas, making it an important aspect of the art itself.
The posters are cut to integrate them with the wall they are on.
Thank you!
