Rode Welvaart - Sovjet Design 1950-1980
For a school-project I made a new illustration identity for the exposition "Red Wealth" in the Kunsthal, Rotterdam.
The style should appeal to kids between 12 and 16.
I used the American 50's cartoon style in combination with the Soviet color scheme,
because the products in the expo are derived from American Design.
This would be the new ground plan. Included are an animation that will be presented when entering/leaving, the exposition itself,
and a location to play a game of Tetris for the younger audience as playful interaction.
The exposition itself would be divided in several categories such as "The Olympic Games of 1980" and the "Space-Race".
For each category there will be an illustration to represent it.
Over here you can see how these illustrations can be presented during the exposition. This is an example of the category "Packaging Design"
There will be a wall near the display with an illustration representing it and a text with information.
This is the animation that will be shown at the exposition.
It tells the history of how Soviet Design came to existance.
"The Tetris game, representing the products from the exposition."
Information about the expostion itself can be found in this link: http://www.kunsthal.nl/en/exhibitions/red-wealth/
