Eckersley O'Callaghan
Brian Eckersley and James O’Callaghan founded Eckersley O’Callaghan in 2004, with a shared vision of a structural design practice that truly integrates engineering and architecture.
It's a vision that has proved to be successful. They regularly collaborate with the most respected names in architecture and design, while their clients include some of the world's most valuable companies.
We selected the strongest form in construction, the triangle, as our starting point for the identity, from which a grid was formulated. This grid informed all identity elements and ongoing brand collateral. The logotype utilises reductive typography in conjunction with a strong colour palette. New Rail Alphabet, a re-working of Margaret Calvert’s iconic British Rail typeface was selected for it’s straightforward simplicity.
An extensive brand guidelines document was developed covering brand values, logo usage, colour palette, typeface usage, image style, document grid and identity application.
We developed a new website showcasing over 140 projects and growing. Easy project selection is facilitated by the implementation of a filtering system allowing users to select projects by type and category in a list, image or location view.
