The goal was to adapt an existing two century old retail space to a design oriented cafe, where casual and culture would meet in the same place, offering a meeting point to the local community.

The goal was to adapt an existing two century old retail space to a design oriented cafe, where casual and culture would meet in the same place, offering a meeting point to the local community.

The Solution
The branding was renovated and modernized alongside the cafe’s interiors as well as its kitchen, while maintaining the essence of its past within the architectonic space. The connection between the founder’s design background was explored using a private design poster collection to create unique wallpaper solution, that would be the main focal point of the space. The minimal approach to the furniture and use of colour was meant to reduce the visual noise, and highlight the original architectural features of the space.
