Hypothermia | Photographic Posters

As part of my Major Project in my final year of university I have been exploring the elemental power of the cold. Paramedic research shows Hypothermia can kill a person in around 15 minutes. Further in the years from 2000-2012 there were an average of 80 deaths per year from Hypothermia in Scotland alone. Unfortunatly it is not a condition many people are knowledgable on.

A poster series has been created to show some of the key symptoms of hypothermia in the hope of educating the public to prevent further deaths. A different person is photographed in each poster to show the variety of ages that can be affected by hypothermia with those in the photographs ranging from 5 years old to 84 years old.

The typeface used through the photographs has been created from ice to add an extra frosty feel.
