AIGA — Quoted

Typography
Quoted

It's a project runned by AIGA's blog Eye on Design
In which each week, they invite a designer to illustrate
his or her favorite quotes by several famous creatives.

I had the opportunity to collaborate by designing quotes that feed and inspire my design life and philosophy, attributing to each one of them the personality I think they represent and deserve through type and design elements.
Quotes on design from Craig Ward, Nolan Bushnell, Sagmeister & Walsh, Tania Zaldívar and Louise Filli.

Thanks to AIGA and Perrin for this great opportunity.
"With a thousand words, who needs to paint a picture?" Craig Ward
I've embraced this quote as a great excuse to dedicate myself to typography in design.

"In design, is any version ever final" Tania Zaldívar
"Design is a research process, it's always trial and error, there's not a version that is ever completely final"
is what Tania Zaldívar wrote me once during a conversation about design.
This quote-made-question, makes me reconsider every time I'm designing. It makes me question if the product I'm making could be the final version,  knowing that design is a process that's constantly changing.

"Never sit around and wait for the phone to ring" Louise Fili
Louise Fili inspires me, not only by her impecable typographic work; but with this great quote of hers, which always pushes me to work hard in order to see -the things I aspire to do- become a reality.

"The ultimate inspiration is the deadline" Nolan Bushnell
A sad-but-true reality that every designer has to face at least once in a lifetime.

"Try out as many things as possible" Sagmeister & Walsh
-Just explore- is the conclusion on this quote. Explore to see how new results and ways to create things are born.
