Marka – Craft Beer
What is one of the most unique thing about Norway's capital Oslo? "Marka" is the name of the forested and hilly areas surrounding Oslo, Norway. The forest has been used for many decades, for activities such as hiking, camping, swimming, skiing, etc. The forest is in used by many on a daily basis and it creates a contrast between a hectic city life and nature. It’s been said that you haven't experienced Oslo before you have visited "Marka".
The task was to create a craft beer especially for Oslo that communicates the citys unique values. Marka was natural choicefor making a concept to a craft brewery. The forest also share the same values as a beer: informal, relaxing, community and identity. The craft brewery «Marka Brewery» was then created. «Marka Brewery» beer is brewed on special commodities from Marka. Each type of beer has a great taste and tells a story about a unique location inside the forest. The beer packaging is created in way that you can open it and read more about the location. The label is also provided with a map so you can locate and explore the given place.
