Distorted Permutations

Media: PVC
Size: 40x13x14"
Provided with a large supply of PVC (both sheets and pipes), I decided it was time to create a marimba. First I measured out the pipes at various lengths to imitate the resonators. In order to stray off into a more quirky and bold statement, I cut all of the pipes at random angles and the sheets into various sizes of trapezoids. For the construction, hot glue and rubber cement were used to create a stable structure. To complete the piece, I used an air brush with a monotone color scheme of green.
