The Samsung Z1 comes with Samsung's own mobile operating system, Tizen specifically 2.3 version. The UI was specifically designed for users who were upgrading from feature phones to smartphones. Being Built on the Tizen platform that also powers products like Samsung televisions, cameras and wearable devices, the Samsung Z1 delivers a faster boot time and enhanced web performance to offer users faster page loading times with decreased data usage.
Dynamic boxes play in the look and feel of the UI. Simple use of gestures like swiping up to open the app drawer where apps are broken into two sections are used. The top is dedicated to stock apps and the bottom is download apps, which you can swipe through while the top half remains static.
The Samsung Z1 is loaded with Club Samsung which has over 270,000 songs and 80 live stream channels. It has also partnered with Hungama to let users stream and download Bollywood music free for three months, after which there is a paid subscription.
