Museum FC Porto Christmas

To help the FC Porto Museum celebrate Christmas and establish itself as a Holiday destination,

we developed a two year campaign featuring Santa Claus and his posse in very uncanny fashion.

We wanted to construct a different perception of Christmas and its protagonists, one that would fit the audacious character of the FC Porto institution.

For Christmas 2014, we made an animated promotional video, portraying Santa and the crew being formally invited by FC Porto to pay a visit to the Museum. Our Christmas Crew had to be cool enough

to come to Porto, Portugal and ditch the travel-the-world-in-a-single-night-giving-out-presents convention they’re usually stuck with.

So we made Rudolph the leader of the Jingle Bell Motorcycle Club, riding his bike ahead of the posse. We made Gingerbread Man Santa’s bodyguard. We came up with a couple of different Elf categories,

from message runners to launch engineers. Pinguins became air traffic controllers. We even threw in

a Traveling Medic Saint-Bernard.

Yet, we needed to raise up the ante for 2015. This time around, Santa would come to Porto not only to spend a day or two, but for the whole Holiday Season. We expanded on the campaign by making it cross-platform, making a new animated video and mixing in social media, TV and real life activation. The story also expanded, with Santa now on the loose throughout the Porto city, visiting monuments with portuguese historian Joel Cleto, letting people know of his whereabouts and history on Facebook, celebrating goals in the official FC Porto instagram and even having dinner with world-renowned

Iker Casillas.
