OBJECTIVE
To create a newspaper and poster based off of the personality and career of a person of interest. Both projects were to focus on typographic experimentation combined with imagery.
PROCESS & SOLUTION
Walt Disney has been a leading influence in my life for as long as I can remember. The imagination and creativity that he posessed has always been an inspiration to my creative process. In order to understand Disney, I researched his background, cartoons, movies, posters and theme parks, which all helped in creating the works below. The newspaper plays with letter forms as imagery and combines imagery with type to relay the story of Disney. The poster was created to be seen from two perspectives; Children and adults. The adult’s view spells Walt Disney, while the child’s view shows the image of Cinderella’s castle, which is an iconic symbol of disney for all children.
